Mamady is back to Arizona with his family, Monette and Nasira. Nasira is now two and half years old! They have been touring the world for the entire year. We were so lucky to have him and his family on their temporary return to the U.S. If I heard correct, they will continue touring for another year.
A weekend workshop was at Mesa Art Center on October 16, 17 and 18: Beginners Classes - Fe, Marakadon, Kudani, Mishima, Denadon. Intermediate Classes - Tiriba, Sofa, Matoto. We covered many rhythms in one weekend! I was also glad to see my friends from Tucson, Flagstaff and Durango. Many thanks to Lorin and Bernd for organizing the workshop as always!
